Gift Aid
Gift Aid is an income tax relief designed to benefit charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs). If you're a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your charity donations by 25%, because the charity can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift – at no extra cost to you. Becoming a Catholic
The Catholic Churches in the Archdiocese of Birmingham welcome all people to come and visit or worship with us.
You needn't be a baptised Catholic to walk through the doors of our Church or to stay and pray during Mass.
We are very happy that you have come to visit us. If you are interested in becoming a Catholic or finding out more about the Catholic faith then speak to the parish priest.
There is a period of instruction prior to being received into the Church that people go through so that they may better understand Catholic beliefs and why we do the things that we do. This is called the Rite of Christian Initiation or is more commonly known as RCIA
This is held in a form of meetings on a Tuesday evening on our parish hall at 8pm
If you are already a Catholic, but have been away for the Church for any amount of time, please know that you are most welcome to return.
You may wish to speak to your parish priest about Confession. Be assured that it is always a great source of joy when someone returns to the Church after being away from the faith.
Guild of St Stephen
The Guild of St. Stephen is an international organisation of altar servers, founded in England in 1904 by Fr. Hamilton McDonald. The Guild has spread and developed since then, and is active in many parishes in the Archdiocese of Birmingham.
The objectives of the Guild are:

To encourage, positively and practically, the highest standards of serving at the Church's liturgy and so contribute to the whole community's participation in a more fruitful worship of God.

To provide altar servers with a greater understanding of what they are doing so that they may serve with increasing reverence and prayerfulness and thereby be led to a deepening response to their vocation in life.

To unite servers of different parishes and dioceses for their mutual support and encouragement.
If you would like to become an altar server, or would like more information, speak to Fr Simon or Deacon Michael. After 2 years of serving you receive a Bronze medal, after 10 years you receive a Silver medal and after 50 years you receive a Gold medal.
