The Catholic Fellowship is a National charity, which was founded by Elizabeth Fitzroy. In the 1950's Elizabeth recognised that the spiritual welfare of disabled children, particularly those with mental disorders, tended to be neglected by the Church and by the laity.
The Nuneaton group was founded in 1962.
Help Needed
Nuneaton and District Catholic Fellowship aims to befriend and support people with lifelong special needs. Activities are organised to give our members an opportunity to socialise with friends and family in a supported environment.
Activities include:
·visiting members in relation to welfare and financial requirements.
·sponsor members to take part in pilgrimages to various shrines and locations including Lourdes
·annual Masses for Christmas and Easter followed by social events
·fundraising by our annual sponsored walk, bingo evening and receiving donations and legacies

The group operates on a purely voluntary basis, without any paid officials; therefore any monies received are used for the direct benefit of members. If you ask the volunteers they would probable agree that they get more enjoyment out of the Fellowship than they put in.
This work would not be possible without the support of our Parish Priest’s and a committed team of volunteers who meet monthly to discuss how to support members and arrange fundraising activities.

EDGE YOUTH GROUP
Edge is the parish youth group for Our Lady of the Angels Nuneaton, St Francis of Assisi Bedworth and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Bulkington. It is run by a committed and faith filled group of young adults working with and supported by the Kenelm Youth Trust. It is for children/young adults in year 6 to year 10. It is fun, engaging and life giving and brings young people together and leads them closer to Christ and our church. They meet at Our Lady of the Angels Church Hall, dates and times can be found in the weekly newsletters.
